Skin care for teens

A skin routine your teen can keep

Honeydew is a small studio in Plymouth with two estheticians. Come in for a routine session, a gentle facial, or a quiet talk just for parents. A parent or guardian stays for a first visit.

A first visit

Four things happen, in this order

About an hour in the studio. A parent or guardian stays for the first one.

A bright treatment room with a made bed, an olive tree by the window and a rolling cart

You see the room

A single treatment room with a window, a sink and a bed. We show you where everything is, and where a parent can sit.

Plain amber dropper bottles, cotton rounds and a bowl of cream on a trolley

You talk first

Eunah or Danya asks what your teen uses now and what bothers them. You both get a say, and she writes down what you agree.

A hand holding a small round mirror over a hand resting on a linen blanket

You look together

She shows your teen what she sees, in a hand mirror, and says what she'll do before she does it. Your teen can say stop at any time.

A towel headband, fan brushes and a spatula beside a glass bowl of water on a towel

You leave with a routine

Two or three steps on a card, in the order to use them. Short enough to keep going on a school morning.

Questions

Short answers before you book

What happens at a first visit?

A talk first, in the studio room. Eunah or Danya asks what your teen uses now and what bothers them, names each step before she does it, and finishes with a routine on a card. A parent or guardian stays in the room.

Does a parent have to stay?

For a first visit, yes. After that, you and your teen decide together, and we ask you both at booking.

What is a parent visit?

A 30-minute talk for you, on your own or with your teen. We go through their skin and what they use, and say what we would suggest and what we wouldn't. No facial is done.

How old does my teen need to be?

We see clients from age 12. Younger than that, please call us first.

Can my teen come in with a breakout?

Yes. Tell us when you book. We may suggest a calmer visit or another day, and we'll say why.
